Audi A3 Sign In I'm trying to fix my brothers Audi A3 for him cause hes too poor to get it fixed (between jobs at the moment) and I'm sick of him borrowing my car. Anyways the gist of the problem is one of the cylinders is not firing #1 cylinder to be precise, I've checked, the spark plugs by replacing with 4 new ones, checked the coil packs swapping them around (and still only cylinder 1 misfires), checked fuel as #1 cylinder spark plug is wet and smells like petrol, checked compression just by cranking the engine without spark plug in, and theirs definitely compression. so I assume its the lines or the ECU? how do I test this if its the line or ECU? or do i have to take it to an auto electrician. the cars a 99 Audi A3 1.8T auto (This post was edited by curtains on Oct 12, 2010, 6:29 PM) Hammer Time Ultimate Carjunky / Moderator Oct 12, 2010, 6:41 PM Post #2 of 3 (2217 views) Re: #1 cylinder misfiring electrical problem.
