You need to get one with the correct part number as your original one.
It needs to be programmed to your vehicle.

Used modules of any kind do not hold up well in junkyards.

I'm told by Autozone that they can send out your BCM and have it repaired and programmed to your vehicle.
They will need the VIN # and mileage.
I would check with them on this..I personally have never had it done this way,but thats what the store by me has said.

Hey thanks for the tips, how hard is it to change it yourself? I was told by the dealers that it would cost me $700 for them to fix it. Im hoping that I can do it myself.

I'm not sure on the exact location of the BCM on this vehicle, but they 're usually readily accessible from under the dash.

Problem is,the vehicle probably isn't going to start until its programmed.
So if you do install it,you're going to have to tow it to the dealer or qualified repair shop for reprogramming.
Still will be less expensive this way.
