My car has a no start no crank issue. The starter gets replaced and it will work fine for 2-4 months and then gives me problems. It seems like something on my car is causing them to go bad but I don't know what it is.

Here's what happens when it starts failing and what I do for a quick fix. I can turn the key two clicks and the lights in dash comes on like normal, but if I try to start the car turning the key everything dies that is electronic, dash lights go out, even the door sounds (from being open) dies out and of course the car doesn't start, not even a crank. Now what I found out by pure luck is that if I remove the negative terminal cable off the battery for about 10-15 seconds and then put it back on, I can go in and start the car like normal. Now this trick only works for a few weeks, eventually I have to replace the starter.

So I doubt I got 3 bad starters in a row, I got luck it was on warranty and the guy working there told me that he would just give my money back because there was something on the car making them go bad.

Does anyone have tips for me on how to fix this issue?

Sure sounds like battery cables are no good or just need a good cleaning up as just removing ground cable worked.

Need to look hard under the now hard rubber cover for the eyelet for its condition. Both cables at both ends all matter but the GM sideposts can be common problems if not cleaned and greased up periodically,
