1998 toyota camry will not start

1998 Toyota Camry
When i turn the key all i hear is a click and a humming sound.The engine does not turn. The battery is fine.
What could be the problem?
PLEASE HELP!!!

Sound by your description to be a bad starter drive. That meaning the gear that throws at the ring gear is made to grab in one direction and if an operator leaves key in "start" position too long it should free spin but make noise.
Easy to diagnose if witnessing this and harder on the sites. Drive if found the issue is usually available separately but most choose a new starter that should have a new drive in it rebuilt or not,
