I have a 1998 mercury sable 3.0L 12v no fire to the plugs, changed coil it was not the coil, could it be the voltage regulator, if so is it located in the alternater on this make and model
Or were very open for any suggestions. Thanks

No, it won't be the voltage regulator.

I need you to test for injector pulse using a noid light and if you have no pulse, then test for power to one side of the injector when the key is first turned on (first 2 seconds)
Here's what the noid light looks like.
