1998 Ford Windstar Sign In

Hello I'm trying to figure out whether I need to replace my instrument panel or not. Does anyone know if i can replace the back light for the instrument panel or if i have to replace the whole thing. also is there any way to replace the panel without having to take the plastics off the Dash?

Thanks

Gearz; Are all of the lamps out? Or just a couple? The instrument cluster has multiple replaceable lamps, but the cluster must be removed to access them. Generic part number 194. I'd recommend replacing all of the bulbs once you get the cluster out.

Bulbs? A little lesson in terminology here.

Bulbs go in the ground. Lamps go into sockets and fixtures. A wise ancient electrician informed me of this once.

Not too of an ancient electrician; The English call them globes. Go figure.
