1998 Dodge Intrepid stalls /wont stay on!!

I have a 1998 Dodge intrepid 3.2.
For a while the car was stalling be it at a light or a stop sign. The codes that came up were crank sensor was bad. It was fine for 3 weeks and now it stalled again. Spark plugs were changed. The RPM's race when you first start the car and then shuts off after a few seconds. The Check engine light is on. for some reason the cruise control light comes on right before the car shuts down. I am baffled as to what the problem is. before i spend a ton of money eliminating problems that are not the cause. I need advice terribly at this point. Can this be a relay problem a ground problem or fuel pump problem .. PLEASE HELP!!!

Check engine light is on then get a code reading. Cruise thing is funky - perhaps a speed sensor but get a reading,
