1998 Caravan 3.0L radio wont work right

It all started when i hooked up my trailer light plug.When i did that my radio would not work unless the headlight switch was on parking lights position or headlights on.In the parking lights position the odometer blinks very fast.So i unhooked the trailer light plug and it still does it.So i disconnected the entire trailer wiring from the van,still does it!!Any ideas what is wrong?Thanks
