1997 saturn elec troubles

1997 saturn elec troubles Sign In

My radio, wipers and cooling fan all stopped working at the same instant. All fuses seem ok. Stumped.

Did you confirm battery voltage at the fuse panel for the fuses? Use a test light for this check as the lamp in the tester loads the circuit. The tester should light brightly to indicate the wiring is OK. Any parts store sells them.

Thanks. I'll try it. Where do I place the tester? I am completely ignorant on this subject.

With a test light you can test for power at a fuse and that it get thru it without taking it out. Some will be down on both side like headlights etc, unless on when you check, T

Connect the clip end of the tester to a good engine ground,( steel, or a bolt head) and touch the point end of the tester to the live circuit.
