ok heres the scoop...a friend noticed my brake lights on one side wern't working....i checked the bulbs they were ok....then noticed the blinker on same side isn't working. it just lights up but doesn't blink....changed the bulbs anyway...now the brake lights work if the lights are off.if i turn on the lights the brake lights won't work..it actually seems to get slightly dimmer. the emergency flashers both work if the lights are off. if the lights are on they only blink on the one side. this is all on the drivers side. everything works good on the other side. ok heres a run down 1.the brake lights on the drivers side work if the lights are off. don't work if the lights are on. (seem to get slightly dimmer when brake is engaged) 2.the drivers side blinker doesn't blink whether the lights are on or off. if the lights are off, it will light up but not blink 3.the emergency flashers blink if the lights are off..if the lights are on it doesn't blink on the drivers side would love some help can't afford to put it in the shop.....ronnie

With everything that you’ve told us; I would say it’s a ground problem. With different things happening with different things turned on; tells us that power is getting to the bulb(s); without a good ground the different circuits are back feeding each other; thought the bulb. Have a look at the black wire(s) at the socket(s); the Yellow is the turn/brake light power wire and the brown is the tail light power wire. Dan. Canadian "EH"
