So I've had my Honda Accord for roughly 3 months now and it has been working like a charm. Until 3 days ago. I was driving on the highway and I noticed that smoke kept coming out from under the hood every time I would slow down. Eventually I arrived to work and as soon as I turned it off it started smoking. I let it be and let it cool down.

As soon as I got out of work, I began my ride home. Slowly but surely I began to see that the temperature was reaching the red point so I raced home before it did so. Again, as son as turned off the car, it smoked up again. I proceeded to head into my trunk and pull out a gallon of water and started filling it up directly into the radiator. After cooling it down, I inspected the surrounding area and found that the radiator tubes were cracked from corrosion I assumed. So I found a refurbished radiator and had it installed ASAP. After the long 2-3 hour job on it, everything was set. We tried to turn it on but at no avail. It just clicked. It didn't even turn over or anything. We checked the battery and decided to get it checked. It was at 85% but just for safe measure we charged it up to 100%. We went back but NOTHING. I cleaned out all the corrosion from the terminals but again and again, no use.

I'm beginning to think that it's something with the starter or the solenoid. I've searched all over Google for answers and I have found people with similar problems and as soon as they replace the solenoid/starter, things are better.
I've tried several times to turn it on but still with the clicking and clicking.

I would greatly appreciate a solution from you guys. Thanks in advance.

I can't tell you how bad of an idea it was to notice your car smoking & keep driving it. To get back in at work without check anything & drive it again..... well that leave me speechless.

With this situation the 1st thing I would do would be to put a breaker bar on the crank and see if I could turn the engine over by hand. If not I would then pull the plugs & crank it over. If it cranks & shoots water out, your done..... Time to price motors......

Hopefully this isn't the case & it's just electrical but after what has happened you need to check the engine before anything else...........
