So, I purchased a re-manufactured starter and my dad put it in. The battery was only reading 9 even after having charged it with a battery charger so my dad hooked up a second-hand battery he had and charged it until it read 15. Even with the new battery in, the car still refuses to start. When the battery is boosted, the car runs normally, with all the lights working with good power. But the car refuses to turn over when the key is turned in the ignition. Any ideas? I don't want to spend too much money trying to figure this out because I only paid a dollar for the car and I've only had it a few months. Clean, lube and make sure your connections are tight and bettery cables are in good shape. I suspect it`s your battery or bad connection..
