 can anyone help me? IMy car passed inspection yesterday and today the mil popped on. It has not exihibited any sort of trouble. Could the MIL popping on just be a malfunction because the car is so old?

No, there is a code stored in the computer, no problems now but could turn into one later, be best to have it read to be on safe side.
