Yesterday I bought a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am V6 3.1L with 137,000 miles. Today I put the driver side window down the whole way. I went to put it up and it would only go up about an inch, despite trying holding the button in. Then 15 minutes later it went up about another inch. Then 30 minutes later it went up the rest of the way. The passenger side works fine consistently, and I'm only having problems with the driver side. Despite reading some articles online, I can't determine if it's the switch, the motor, or just the window being off-track. Any help is much appreciated!

That has the symptoms of a bad motor but you will have to make sure the glass moves freely with a new motor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Do you have any clue how much it'll cost to get that fixed, including labor?

Depending on the labor rate, it's usually somewhere around $300 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
