1995 Celica, Temp gauge not working air bag light on Sign In

1995 Toyota Celica, 1.8 ltr. I have lost my temp gauge and gained a seat belt and air bag light (stay on all the time now). It came out of a shop recently with these problems after having it in there for a head gasket job. They would probably take it back in for a day to find the problem but I thought I might find it with some help and save myself the trouble finding a ride to work for a day. So far I checked some of the fuses inside the car that I thought might be related but all looked fine. Going to look at fuses under the hood as soon as I get the chance (probably this weekend as this is wifes car during week).

Thought I would post this to see if there might be a toyota guy on here who might know if this IS a fuse issue, or something else? I'm hoping this is a simple fix but starting to wonder if these 3 things alone could be related to one fuse? Thank you for any help!

It's not a fuse issue. The seat belts are part of the airbag circuit and the computer has sensed a malfunction. It will have a stored trouble code to identify it but my experience with older Toyotas is , good luck trying to read it.

For the temperature gauge look to see if the sender is plugged in. Should be on the passenger side of the cylinder head.

For the SRS lamp, you'll need to see what code(s) is being stored. Under the hood is the diagnostic connector. Flip the cap open and you'll see a bunch of terminals. Underneath the cap is a legend. Jump E1 to TC using a jumper wire. Turn the ignition on. The SRS lamp will flash two digit trouble codes. Write them down. Remove the jumper wire.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I know now that it is not a fuse issue because today I checked them all. They are all good. The temp gauge is the thing that is really bothering me right now. The sender IS plugged in and it was a brand new sender when I bought the car a few months ago. I talked to the mechanic today who last worked on it and he told me that he had in fact noticed the temp gauge not working on it b4 I picked it up last time. ??? It worked fine b4 he worked on it. Oh well, I do not know what could have happened when he was putting things back together but something happened. Maybe the sender has failed, I have little choice now but suspect this next but I still have my doubts. The air bag and seat belt lights almost seems to be different issues but seems weird to me how it came back from this garage with these same problems at the same time. Ty for the tips on the codes and the pics!
