1995/96 Chysler Town and Country van Sign In

I tried replacing my fuel pump and filter myself. I found out the parts store gave me the wrong parts. I had to have the van towed to Goodyear and they repaired the van. My major problem is the battery doesn't keep a charge. I had it tested twice and both time it came out ok. I thought at first it was the air conditioner being left on so I removed the knob not to turn it on. That didn't work it was dead the next day. I charged the battery on a slow charge that lasted almost a day and a half without going dead. I tried starting the van this morning and it was dead. It had to be recharged again. What's wrong. Please help.

Can't say for sure with this exact vehicle but some can continue feeding power thru a relay even when keys are removed.

Battery probably is ok but this going on is not good for it. If you shut everything off (electrical item everywhere including hood light) and hook a simple test light between battery neg post and the cable when disconnected it should be off. If it lights there is a drain. Pulling fuses one at a time the light will go out on one. (shut the door of course as that will be a drain and if on delay you would have to wait) When one makes the light go out the items in that circuit need checking out.

It's amazing but even a glove box light that doesn't go out and unseen can kill the battery in a day. Are there other things that may be unnoticed like map lights etc., that may be left on? I've had a few of these hair pullers not the case here but a trunk light would stay on parked at an angle/slope and when I tested it was level and wouldn't misbehave!
