1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

My power windows stopped working. I installed a new switch to operate all 4 windows but still nothing works. The sunroof switch works however. I was told I need a relay switch whatever that means. Any thoughts?

Yes check any fuses and relays involved. Does power get to the switch? If not and everything seems to check out, wiggle around the driver's door jam rubber hose and see it a window will suddenly work. Might not but sometimes the wires that bend in the door jam used the most break. That and the driver's door is the main control for all windows and overrides the others one by one,
