The lights, the radio, etc all work fine but the lights on the dash do not light up at all. If I fiddle around enough sometimes the car starts or sometimes it stops cranking halfway before starting and the lights on the dash go off again. I took the car to the mechanic but he said it was fine and it started right up for him and I took it home and shut it off and I had to fiddle with it for 5 minutes before it would start again. What could be the problem? With your description of the problem; it would be my main suspect. To confirm this you would need to be there with a voltmeter or test light connected to the switch; the next time the car decided not to start. Dan.
