If the EGR valve is 'hanging' open, will cause a stall. Is very common on Fords for a piece of carbon to become lodged between the pintle and seat, holding the EGR open. If this is the case, EGR gaskets with a screen are available which will eliminate this problem. The O2 codes should be checked, but could be a result of the EGR problem. (If the EGR is the problem).
