1993 chevy no power? electrical problem?

1993 Chevy Cheyenne had 4.3L v6 auto transmission 2wd 1/2 ton.. replaced with 1994 5.7.. i changed computer but left almost everything else including the wiring harness.. The old motor had a electronic EGR valve but new one has a vacuum operated EGR valve so the EGR pig tale is just hanging there... codes with this swap include a code 32..that code is understandable.. Code 42, code 54 and code 83… everything is new but was for a v6 . injectors were changed.. My rpm needle tends to jump around like the truck is surging at and sometimes trying to die… truck seems gutless.vacuum test reading around 18… fuel pump read out ok .timing good! grounds tight and clean. truck runs 2000rpm at 55-60MPH . seems to have hard time going into overdrive and doesn’t seem to shift when it should… I get 95 miles to 16 gallons of gas. truck also has super chip. starting to think computer may be a fault… not sure what year model the computer come from..

My suggestion would be to find all the electronic components; as in the computer, wiring harness and sensors that were meant to be on the 94 5.7Lt. Also check whether the trans for the 94 was electronically shifted/controlled or if it was mechanically shifted with just the lock-up converter being commanded by the PCM.
As for the “super chip” remove it; drill a hole through the center of it, thread a string through the hole and hang it on the rear view mirror! It’ll do you as much good there as it would be plugged into the computer; especially while you’re looking for drivability concerns.
