1967 GMC---No Power

1967 GMC---No Power Sign In

I have a 1967 GMC half ton with a 250 and a 3 in the tree. I garaged it before last winter and it ran just fine. I went to fire it up the other day for a spring drive and I have no power anywhere. Yes, the battery is 100%. No lights, ignition, nothing...not even a click. I am a body man, by no means a wiring guy. I have power at the battery and positive end on the starter. Where should I check next? What should be hot? How can I jump it? I have all the wiring diagrams, but have no idea where to start. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. I need to drive it!!

"Three on the Tree!" Haven't heard that in a while. Liked them - a person could sit in the middle without knocking their crotch out all the time with floor shifter.

This problem if you are sure the battery is good and fully charged is likely a bad cable or battery cable connection - both ends of pos and neg need be good. For storage hope you leave a floating trickle charger on battery even if disconnected.

A maybe as it's old and not sure how they did it: There's a rubber like block on firewall (I think) near interior fuse box most likely that somehow can lose all connections to things inside. Should be full of male and female spade connectors that over time or bad luck can simply not make a connection to fuse box for anything. Not a common problem but a 1967 you need to consider everything possible.

Battery to body grounds must be good too. If you just grab that block or tap on it and that snaps it out of this mode then most are held with one bolt, can be removed and if 1967 did in fact use spade connectors there you can give each male spade a slight twist if not rotted or something and restore connections. If that works - fuses would show power again and things should work.

Another maybe: Main wire to alternator might (not sure) be involved. I think it should have power all the time from battery any may use a fusible link and be critical to power everything else - again not sure on that,
