when headlight are on dim the blinker work correctly. when the high beams are on and the headlight switch on the dash is on the right blinker works correctly but when i try to use the left turn signal the right turn signal comes on. Is the the problem the turn signal/dimmer switch(multifunction switch) or is there a relay in there that might be causing this issue. All the light bulbs are good and the wiring looks to be in order. I work at a chevy dealer and have no access to the wiring schematics.

Some things to check and rule out:

Sockets for bubs in good shape, bulbs correct for the car. Grounds for what grounds those lamps.

After those all check good I think this may be on to the multi-function switch. Look for visual problems with wiring as headlights do get real hot,

Sounds like the multi-function switch was a problem.
