03 Nissan ALtima Center Console	Sign In

I am having problems with my center console of my 03 Nissan Altima 2.5s, In cold weather the center console will occasionally die, Stereo, clock, lights etc.

This happened last winter I had the car checked and all fuses were fine. One day the car wouldn't start I had it jumped and the stereo and center console came back on and worked fine the remainder of the year until today when the problem re-occurred.

I am wondering if someone would be able to suggest to me what the problem might be and what I may have to have replaced, as well as a price estimate if possible. Thanks

Couldn't guess at price till the problem is known.

Seems like perhaps a ground for those items isn't making good contact all the time. Temps can aggravate things like that.

For now I'd be checking that all grounded items are in fact grounded when this happens and if need be add one but know what you are doing. More grounding isn't a problem but can't involve the positive power of anything directly. Many vehicles use braided straps all over the place or in some places just count on body metal being enough.

Check what metal of items and where they are mounted for ground while it doesn't work by back powering a test light and metal items you touch should make it light.

May be off on the wrong tangent but it can be the problem,

Thanks a lot I'll look into that, Any other suggestions are still very much appreciated in case this isn't the problem.
