jvc stereo accepts no disc

my jvc stereo accepts no disc. it only pulls the disc inside and displays "LOADING" for some moment then "REJECT" it. what could be the problem?

The easiest problem would be a dirty laser lens that's keeping it from reading the disc. Laser lens cleaning kits are fairly inexpensive and would be worth a shot to see if that would help..
If not then it's possible the laser itself is bad or some other internal problem.....
A long shot would be with the other freezing problems you've been having, just run the car with the heater on high for a while and after it's been warm for a bit put in a cd and see if it will read it..........
