Hey. I have a Honda Civic LX '95. I don't know what seems to be the problem but my tape adapter doesn't quite work. I put in the tape and every 2 seconds or so it flips the tape. Do you know anything about this?

i have a 97 honda civic DX, and i just bought a tape deck adapter to play my ipod in the car, and im having the same exact problem. itll just flip sides several times and then eject the tape. tried a normal tape and it still did the same thing. do tape decks just go bad over time? i havent used it in years
