Car Stereo Problems

I am driving down the road and my Car stereo player all of a sudden stops working. So when I got home I checked to see what was wrong with it. I see I'm missing a fuse, I go to the store, get the fuse and put it back in there. I turn it again, its still not working. I open the hood and notice the short is messed up. How much would it cost to fix short thatgoes with the car stereo? Would be cheaper to just get a new one?

Please elaborate further. What’s under the hood? I can’t give a complete info about your problem. I have these site and book about auto parts information, it helps me a lot. Sometimes I don’t go to a shop and fix my car. I do it by myself and I save my money too.
