My company installed CD player in my 1998 Accord V6 has decided to stop working with the stuck inside. It gives me an error msg (ERR) that the manual says means take it in. I called my dealer and he suggested I contact the radio repair shop direct as it is out of warranty. They want $250 to fix it and $80 to take the radio apart and retrieve the disc and put it back together without fixing the CD. The radio still work.

Any suggestions? Is this radio easy to take out and take apart?

Thanks
Tin

My advice is, BUY ANOTHER HEAD UNIT. The cost of repair on these things is ridiculous. Once out, the old head unit will be easy to take apart. Just take the screws out and attack it from the top.
