I have a 2002 Cadillac Deville with 77000 miles. It has developed a whop,whop sound when driving. The tire people had the wheels off and checked the balance and for any other possible causes. The tires are Michelins. it has a 4.6 liter engine. Hopefully you can suggest something

Michelins IMO have fewer failures than most others. Weaker sidewalls than most others too but IMO gives a nice ride. No matter they can suffer tread separation or problems from pot holes and road debris. This could also be a bearing issue and I'm not there so get help. If one place fails to find this ask around for another but you can't ignore this,

Sounds like a hub bearing to me.

One way to tell if it is a hub noise or tire noise is to drive on different road surfaces. Hub noise won't change on different surfaces, but tire noise will.

Worked part time for tires and not once a bad Michelin unless damaged but could happen. Probably a hub or bearing issue as the guys have said said and shouldn't be rocket science to have diagnosed if you can't.
A bad wheel or bearing or other something could ruin a good tire just adding to the troubles.
