Hi all, I spent a bit of time looking through the posts to see if this is a repeated question, but I couldn't find it here. I have an 06' Pontiac G6 that occasionally makes a rythmic noise at the rear of the car when I'm turning left. If I apply the brakes at this time the noise becomes constant. It sounds like rubber against metal. Also, this seems to be occurring more often now that I've put new brake pads on the front of the car. (But at least that metal on metal noise they were making is gone! :) Thanks! My name is Tom, I'm a retired computer nerd and my other car is a 69 Mustang that is a blast to drive, until it gets near a gas station! :)

Noise could be bearing or brake. Spin just that wheel and see/feel/listen to it. Take wheel off and do the same. Bearings can make a variety of noises but commonly sound like you have a knobby tire on that wheel and noisier when braking, turning or starting off. Good bearings are silent and have no freeplay, T
