replacing 1998 Ford F-150 instrument panel lights

How do I replace the bulb(s) for the instrument panel/cluster? I've got an owner's manual, and have looked this up in it, but the manual says to take it to a dealer to have this done. Surely there's a way I can do it myself and save myself some money.
I also found another owner's manual on this website: http://www.analogstereo.com/...ners_manual_1998.pdf, but can't find this subject in the manual.
