Most of the time the sounds get milder as the car warms. Wondering if the fluid in the shocks/struts could be getting 'thicker' when cold and affecting the valving inside the unit? I noticed that in my vehicle after a couple weeks of sub-freezing weather. Gave the car to dad today, he is a guesser like me...he thinks I should spend the money on new shocks and see what that gets me. This is my first AWD vehicle.
