this is a continuation of post about 95 Buick LeSabre

SO the alt. got fixed again (apparently) it was a dud... but the squeal is still there... there doesn't seem to be any damage to the belt, can I still drive the car w/o the compressor plugged in?

If the a/c pulley spins freely when the a/c is not engaged, you can drive it as long as you want. The compressor will just act as another idler pulley. So drive away as long as the bearings in the compressor pulley is not making the noise.
