brakes/ popping noise grinding noise

brakes/ popping noise grinding noise

when i push the gas to go there is a popping noise from the rear of the car.. when i push the gas to go its also there along with a grinding nose.. i have a 1996 oldsmobile acheiva

Not sure what you want anyone to suggest but check out moving parts in the rear of the car. I'd begin with brakes and bearings, T

Good place to look for a problem as new work can be the issue. Keep going till you can nail it down. Hey - something with pads/shoes or hardware, spin wheel for bearing noise, if this is AWD then CV joints anywhere but IMO "grinding" is more likely brake or bearing problem and the popping might be anything the can move under the load. Remember rear squats a bit upon acceleration........... T
