1996 Chrylser Sebring Convertible V6 (not sure exact size) 150,000 miles Ok, I'm not the most vehicle literate person, so I'll try my best to ask questions intelligently. I have two problems. 1) Lately, my steering squeals something awful when I first get going in the morning. It seems to stop after the first couple turns. But getting out of my driveway, it is hard to turn and squeals like crazy. Is there a belt or something that is easy to replace causing the noise? 2) My front suspension creaks. I assume that's where the noise is coming from. Front springs maybe? Every time the car bounces a little, or I turn the wheels, it makes a creaking noise. Is there somewhere that I can grease to quiet the noise down, or keep the suspension from failing? Thanks in advance for any help! Charlie

Charlie; What you describe sounds like a worn/loose belt. Overnight, moisture will apply to the belt. When you first start the engine, it will slip, causing the noise. Once the moisture is gone, the noise goes away. As far as the 'creaking' noise, further checking will be needed. Could be most anything. Dry tie rods, ball joints, struts, strut plates, ect. Very few have lube joints anymore. I'm pretty certain that yours does not. Loren SW Washington
