'96 Dodge Dakota 5.2L 230,000 I recently replaced my rear drums and now the drivers side is clicking at intermittent intervals when I brake. It sounds like the self adjuster binding on something. Any ideas?

Did you just replace drums and nothing else? Was old drum a fight to remove and possible hardware damage. Take a look again in there. It's not that expensive to do right. Lube where shoes move on backing plate as they may have made a divot on them and that could be it too, T

No, I replaced drums and shoes. I'll try lubing the backing plate behind the shoes.

You probably can lube the rub pads of backing plate with specific brake lube grease with a flux brush or Q-Tip with shoes in place just carefully prying them out some. DON'T GET GREASE ON FRICTION PARTS! If in doubt take the shoes back out, T

I'm not sure if the drums are new or used or what the condition looks like but if there is any kind of a "threaded" wear pattern, what happens is this pulls the shoes out slightly when braking until the hold down spring tension pulls them back. This will give you a popping/clicking noise on brking... Any doubt on the drums & have them turned & readjust the brks accordingly.....
