Odd, intermittent clicking sound from the underside Sign In

2003 Ford Mustang, 3.8 liters, approx. 91,000 miles
For the past 3-5 weeks there has been this odd clicking sound from the front end of the car on the drivers side. I've checked, but the only thing I've been able to see that might cause this sound is the air dam has been damaged at one of the attachment points; the air dam has broken off around the bolt.
However, this sound seems to be coming from the axle/wheel area. There doesn't seem to be any one thing that happens before or after the sound that could cause this. The clicking doesn't match with road irregularities, turns, highway to surface road transitions, or acceleration/decceleration. This is why I find the clicking frustrating, because I cannot find a cause. I appreciate any and all help anyone can give. If I need to provide more information, please let me know. Thank you.

A good starting point would be to take all the hubcaps off (if it has them) & then rotate the tires to see if the noise moves/disappears. Also take a look at things & spin the rotors & axle while things are loose.......
