Hey guys, this is my first time tearing into the head on a car. I got it all back together and it runs well for the most part, but it's making more noise than it should. No check engine lights are on. Any insights on what might be causing this? If I did put the timing belt on wrong, do you have any tips on how to get it right? I've tried it a couple times now without success. Any tips are appreciated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2vYRw1mNy4&ab_channel=SpencerWard

What year, exact engine and miles on this engine plus what prompted you to "tear" into this? OMG, sounds like a barrel full of rocks, no oil or something leading to disaster for this engine? Tom

Try putting your hand on the timing cover (without getting your fingers caught in the belt) and see if you feel anything hitting it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
