Mercury Sable, 1994, sedan, Larger engine. The car was recently bumped or hit by an unknown, on the front corner drivers side. When I started the engine I noticed what sounded like a muffler noise. I could hear it best at ear level in the passenger side front wheel well. Opposite of the corner hit. Upon driving I noticed an oscillating sound like howling coming from the wheel as it turned. It was light in nature. I can not see were the muffler type sound is coming from but it would appear that my pick up appears to be less. Thank you for any assistance.

You have noises coming from the area that the car was just hit. Why are you driving it? You need to get it to a shop for inspection. We certainly can't tell you what the extent of your damage is without seeing it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
