Hyundai Tuscan 05 squealing noise Login - Sign Up

Hi, we have an 2005 Hyundai Tuscan, V6, 32,000 km. It has started squealing when we first start it and it usually continues to squeal (loudly) for about 20 -25 minutes of driving. It doesn't seem to matter if we are accelerating, idling or stopped - the squeal continues. We were going to change the belt, but when we took off the old belt it looked just as good & new as the new one,so we left it. We just change the belt tensioner and the squealing is still there. Any ideas?

Go ahead and change the belt. Even if it looks ok the mileage calls for the change. It can still make noise if it looks ok but is old. You can spray some WD 40 on the belt while it is running and if the squeal goes away for a few seconds than it is the belt causing the noise. Good Luck

Jeff
