Please help! My '98 Ford Windstar (3.8) is making a metalic ringing noise. Sound gets worse when idling. Sound is coming from front, possibly passenger side.
The van also will not idle for more than 2 minutes without sputtering & dying. Dont know if this is related.
Please help! I can give more info if needed, just not sure what info to give...

Guess and something to check:

Make sure all the air intake parts are in place properly especially if it has been worked on recently perhaps something was left loose even if just to replace an air filter or something,
