My 98 stratus has started squeaking when i turn and sometimes even when i'm just going straight. The best way i can think of to describe the noise is it kinda sounds like an old squeaky bed but louder. I don't know much about cars and have an appointment with the dealer friday, i was just wondering what some possibilities are so i'm not lookin at them on friday like there speaking arabic!! They replaced 1 of my ball joints about 4 months ago and i just found out they should have replaced them both, so i really wanna know a little about what could be wrong b4 i go there. any advice will be greatly appreciated.

That's open to tons of possibilities. I don't find squeaky noise the most common for worn ball joints but one could. Anything the moves is in the cards. Sometimes body parts over time will make noise, hood, doors, trunk/hatch lids and bushings that are just shiny where they contact. It's good to rule out all safety items (suspension and steering) and then chase down just annoying noises that may need lube, tightening, adjustment or whatevers to solve, T
