Hello every one. I am a new user so please be patient with me. I am hearing a grinding noise when I am on a curve, not when I am turning. I am wondering if it is the CV joints? What do I do to check this to make sure it is or not? I am also wondering if it could be the front wheel bearings? 1996 Ford Taurus 3.0 V6 160000+ miles Automatic transmission Thank you in advance for your help

dam; Sounds like you are headed in the right direction as far as bearings are concerned. CV joints are usually at their worst when turning and backing at low speed. Wheel bearings and brakes can be heard as a grinding/growling noise at the vehicle's weight is redistributed from side to side. I'd recommend having all four wheels' bearings and brakes inspected.
