2006 Torrent Noise When Turning Left Sign In

Year: 2006
Make: Pontiac
Model: Torrent (FWD)
Engine: 3.4 L V6
Around 34,000 Miles

Problem:
Hi all,
The problem started yesterday when I was driving (to buy a 2nd car ironically) and took a left turn and heard a loud screeching noise from the left tire. I figured it wasn't me and kept going. The rest of the journey it made the same schreeching noise whenever I took a left turn (not when I turned the wheel left, I had to hit the gas also). The noise accelerates as you go faster and is subdued by hitting the brakes. Also, there is no noise when turning right. This is when it gets weird. I took the car home and took the left tire out and looked to see if anything was fishy. I used the brake lubricant on the disk and brake and made sure the disk didn't wiggle, which it did not. In addition, when I rotated the disk by hand, it did not make a sqeeking noise. I put the tire back on without fastening the bolts, and rotated it and it did not make any noise. As soon as I fastened the bolts tightly, the tire began making noise again. So I took it back out and put the emergency tire in. Again, as soon as I fastened the bolts it made the noise. I looked to see if the brakes are touching, if something was stuck there, but couldn't find anything. I have yet to replace the brakes, so that could be it. Is there anything else that you can think of?
Thank you in advance.

It sounds like the sensors on your brake pads is starting to touch. Turning make the rotor lean ever so slightly and lets the sensor make contact. It's time to do a brake job.
