So a few months back it sputtered and died on my way home. Due to financial situation at the time fixing it wasn't an option so it sat for upwards of 8 to 9 mo the. One of the folks i had look at said it seemed the engine, due to the duration of inactivity was trying to seize. Recent Work: Replaced starter due to it burning out. Pulled ignition coils to find out one of my plugs was completely covered in oil, the other 3 were fine. Pulled all 4 and put some Marvel Mystery Oil in the chambers and let it sit for a few hours, crankshaft would hardly budge when manually turned. Put some SeaFoam Deep Creep in the chambers with the Mystery Oil and let it sit overnight. That loosened it a lot but now my starter whirs up but it seems the solenoid isn't engaging at all. All new plugs have been installed plus the flooded chamber was due to a value cover gasket issue and was replaced. Coating all my rollers and pulleys in the deep creep seemed to help when manually turning the crankshaft.

UPDATE: Replaced Fuel Filter and the car will turn over and run for a few seconds before stalling. After reading it with 2 different OBD2s there's no codes to be found, all that was determined was that the Alternator isn't putting out enough volts. I don't know for sure if there's any amplifying information I could provide but I figured I'd post an update.

The bigger question here is..... why made it die in the first place?

If this was overheated and ended up getting coolant into the combustion chamber, you can look for a new engine now.

Engines don't just seize for no reason and if they do you can consider it terminal.

1st step would be to get the starter to crank the engine over normally. Then run a compression check to make sure engine is good, As HT already stated You really wanna know what caused it to die in the 1st place.

Once it cranks and you know you have good compression, then you have to run a no start on it and see what you're missing spark? Fuel? HT has No start chart You can follow in Engine Troubleshooting section

Let's see if it cranks over without any big noises first.

If it does, then let us know and I will post the Crank, no start diagnostics.

Cylinder that had oil on plug? Bet a hole in piston? Zero compression would be found perhaps oil too full, coolant mixed in? Lotsa luck,
Tom
