1992 Ford Ranger XLT 2.3L 88k Few days ago my timing belt popped and my truck wouldn't start. Today we finished replacing the timing belt and put everything back together. After pulling off the rack my truck made winding noises that sounded like the power steering, and it also did not want to accelerate properly. What could this be, or could we narrow it down to a few problems? Thanks for any help.

Check all you pullys make sure they dont have play and check for roughness by hand binding, crunching and etc.. also you should have checked/replaced your tensioner pully on the timing belt. running rough may be due to being off 1 tooth. On the compression stroke of No.1 bring to TDC remove inspection plug on timing chain cover and make sure your marks are lined up.
