Hi, My first post here and hoping to get some expert advice from you guys... Bought a 2004 Ford Explorer AWD 8V and all is well: The whole family enjoys riding in the car. I had one question as to whether this is normal or not: Whenever I accelerate fast going into high RPM, it seems that the car 'adds' another sound besides the engine sound I am used to hearing when accelerating. It almost sounds like 'something else' starts making a rotating noise. It happens at every speed, both slow and fast but only when I go really high in RPM. The sound very clearly comes from the RIGHT side of the car and it is like a kind of "rotating flapping" noise. Sorry for my bad description but I can not do a better job explaining. The noise does not sound 'bad', but I thought to maybe have the car checked by a mechanic. Should I? Thanks for sending anything that might come to your mind !!

By nature a "funny noise" is tricky. Check out belt tension/tensioner, wheel bearings, u-joints, or CV joints and even exhaust system for any loose or rusted parts can make some funky noises, T
