Infiniti Brake Upgrade: Rear getting hot! Sign In

I have a 2015 Infiniti Q50 Premium that I upgraded the brakes to higher performance. In short, front are fine, both rear brakes get hot right away after break-in. The caliper piston moves freely, the slide pins are both free and move easy. Since the car is all wheel drive I can not lift the whole care to turn the wheels, but I can move the rotors slightly. I am not a professional but have done a dozen or more brake jobs and never had this issue. Last note: the rotors are the same dimensions as the old ones. Any ideas??? 5/29/23: Well I ended up having to replace the calipers on the rear. Everything works perfect now, but still baffled what the problem was. No need for response now.

What do you mean by "they are getting hot". Are they sticking and not releasing?

Can't hoist all wheels? Go get 2 more jack stands OMG and working on brakes?

What did this "performance upgrade" involve for parts or alterations if any?

You really can't except "dust free" or just plain friction material that may claim to tolerate higher than OE temps. If all painted up parts fine it's better than looking at rusty parts within a day.

Both rears? What is different about those vs the fronts so called break-in should be over in no time/miles, a few stops, done or "upgrade" items are a failure?
