Working on a restoration of a 1978 Olds 98. I need to pick up some trim pieces and can't seem to find a source. I've googled it every way I can imagine, but no trim parts, no catalogs. Can you steer me in the right direction? Thanks! I really appreciate it!

Restore a Corvette or a Camaro. You can buy any part you need. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Just looked and was a member of "Oldsmobile Club of America" and it has moved t IOWA. Didn't recocognize any names but keep looking as there was and is a lot of interest in the name either for muscle or some interesting short lived models by name and experimental designs. By 1978 unfortunately the make had already changed with the changes of 1977 from being a real Olds to really just a GM car but trim was the difference and will be harder to find especially with plain metal valuable whole cars get recycled as not worth waiting for a couple bits and pieces you need. Mechanical parts should be almost identical to other full size GM models. Hard to think that by 1978 that was a downsized car! That era also did tons of engine swaps meaning you may have a Pontiac or Chevy Engine in that car wrecking it's value IMO. That happened more with Buicks than Olds and folks were ticked off so GM just re-named all their engines/drivetrains GM rather than the sub names of Chev, Pontiac, Olds, Buick + Cadillac in order once totally separate divisions before your era, T T
