Question about tube chassis parts Sign In

Hello. Can someone please tell me what all the parts in this picture are for? Also, I'm trying to build a custom tube chassis for a project that I have in mind. I've never worked on something like this and to be honest I'm a nube when it comes to cars and how parts work. However, I absolutely love cars and I am willing to stop at nothing to learn every single detail and part and what not. Thank you for your support

Your pic didn't load up. Try using photobucket, seems to work well on this site.

Building a tube chassis is not a novice job. A lot of knowledge of engineering, metalworking, extensive welding skills and thousands of dollars in equipment are needed to do it. Seeing what some people create on TV is cool, but unfortunately tv likes to edit out so much that they make it seem like there is nothing to it. Of course they can make it seem easy when they have a CAD designer on staff, a $20,000 mandrel bender, a $3500 TIG welder and decades of experience gaining the skills needed to make it come out properly.

I fixed your image link.

Those parts are all the components for a disc brake package.

Re: Question about tube chassis parts Sign In

Thanks for fixing the pic HT. Some I can do some I can't. OP - those aren't what you meant were they? If you are talking about making a frame for something custom made out of metal it would require some skilled If welding. I know totally enough about it to find the right help!

In automotive work or ATV things it might be a repair of something existing vs totally making something and know it's strong at all the right places. Frame and exhaust work or collision repair it has to be right in either, good looking for auto body work.

These are full blown trades. You should start as an apprentice where things are done AND take the training courses where you would at least see and use the assortment of equipment.

If you are that motivated nothing will stop you but that's where to begin,
