'07 Camry Bumper Alignment Trouble Sign In

2007 Toyota Camry, 2.4L engine, 95,000 kilometres.

Hi all,

My Toyota Camry was involved in a parking lot fender-bender in which the bumper underneath the rear passenger-side taillight was popped loose from the quarter panel. It has since mostly been fixed, however the bumper is still protruding slightly from underneath the taillight.

I have tried opening the trunk and unscrewing the screw that holds the bumper in place and screwing it back in while holding the bumper as close against the car as possible, but it still protruding more than it does on the undamaged side. Is there any way to fit it in closer?

Thanks for the help!

There is always more damage than you can see. There are plastic retainers attached to the body that grab onto a lip on the bumper cover. I'm sure either the retainers of the cover itself have been damaged. Take it to a body shop and they may be able to reposition it and glue it on if they have to.
